Day 4, Compassionate Body Scan
Finding an inner refuge
Hello friends,
Welcome to Day 4 of Making Space.
Today I’m sharing a short compassionate body scan, a simple practice that helps you come back to the here and now, one sensation at a time. You don’t need to feel a certain way or “get it right.” This is really about meeting yourself as you are, with as much kindness as you can.
You can be lying down, sitting, or wherever you feel comfortable. As you listen, I’ll guide you through different areas of the body, inviting you to notice whatever is present — ease, tightness, warmth, or nothing much at all. Everything you find is part of your real experience in this moment, and it all belongs.
Towards the end, I’ll invite you to notice one place in your body that feels steady, warm, or simply okay. This spot can become an inner anchor, a small home base you can return to whenever you feel unsettled or challenged. Many people find this surprisingly supportive.
I hope this practice feels grounding and nourishing.
And remember, you can return to it anytime you need a pause or a reset.
With love,
Louise
