Dear friends
Today’s practice is a simple, supported backbend — an antidote to slumping, scrolling, and carrying the world on your shoulders.
We begin with a few rounds of gentle cat–cow to mobilise the spine and help you arrive in your body. Then you’ll rest your spine back over a rolled blanket. The front of the chest is free to soften and widen, giving the breath space to deepen naturally. The side body can expand. The spine feels held, grounded, and gently encouraged to open.
This isn’t about effort or pushing into a shape. It’s about letting the support do the work.
Just a few minutes here can shift your state — from contracted to more open, from rushed to more resourced. Many people notice a subtle lift in mood, energy, and breath, without having to try to feel better.
As always, move gently, listen to your body, and come out if anything doesn’t feel right.
I hope this gives you the little lift you need — let me know how you get on 💛
sending love
Louise
